Health, Exercise & Food Risk Acknowledgment

Version: v1-beta · Status: published_current · Effective: 2026-08-19

This is a standalone acknowledgment. Acceptance never disables product safety gates.

Please read this acknowledgment carefully before using Better Moose's exercise, food, nutrition, and wellness recommendations. By accepting, you confirm that you understand the limits below and voluntarily choose to use these features.

Wellness decision support, not emergency or individualized medical care

Better Moose provides consumer wellness, fitness, food, nutrition, and decision-support information. It is not an emergency service and does not provide individualized medical diagnosis or treatment.

Recommendations depend on the information available

Better Moose recommendations can only account for information available to the product. Recommendations may be incomplete or inappropriate if health, injury, allergy, intolerance, medication, food, equipment, or other relevant information is missing, inaccurate, outdated, or ambiguous.

Assumption of ordinary and inherent physical-activity risk

You voluntarily participate in physical activity suggested or logged through Better Moose understanding that exercise involves ordinary and inherent risks. These risks include, without limitation, musculoskeletal strain or injury, falls, equipment-related injury, cardiovascular events in susceptible individuals, dehydration, overexertion, and aggravation of a pre-existing condition.

Environmental and equipment hazards

Training environments, surfaces, weather, supervision, footwear, equipment condition, and setup may increase risk. You are responsible for choosing activities and intensity appropriate for your abilities, environment, available equipment, known limitations, and professional guidance.

Stop for concerning symptoms

Stop an activity if you develop concerning symptoms or feel unsafe. Seek appropriate medical care when symptoms or circumstances warrant it. If you believe you may have a medical emergency, contact local emergency services.

Food preparation and consumption involve uncertainty

Food preparation and consumption can involve allergy, intolerance, cross-contact, contamination, handling, mislabeling, and other risks. Ingredient, recipe, restaurant, manufacturer, barcode, photo-estimated, and third-party dataset information can be incomplete or can change.

Verify ingredients and restrictions

Check current labels and reliable provider or manufacturer information when an ingredient, allergen, intolerance, or other food restriction matters to you. Do not consume a food or follow a substitution merely because Better Moose suggested it if you know or suspect it may be unsafe for you.

Known restrictions and professional guidance take priority

Do not follow a Better Moose recommendation that conflicts with a known restriction, a safety warning, or guidance from a qualified health professional who knows your circumstances.

Acknowledgment is not a substitute for product safety

By accepting this acknowledgment, you confirm that you understand these limits and voluntarily assume the ordinary and inherent risks described above to the extent permitted by applicable law. Acceptance does not turn unknown information into known-safe information, does not disable Better Moose's safety gates, and is not intended as an all-inclusive release of every possible claim or waiver of rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
